According to the new Code of Civil Procedure, one of the consequences for those who fail to pay their debts will be the loss of their passport or driver's license. The measure, which provides for coercive actions such as these, is set out in section 4 of article 139 of the Civil Procedure Code. Previously, a daily fine was applied, but the returns were not fully satisfactory, but it is worth remembering that the strategy is for those who try to hide assets and don't pay what they owe.
According to SPC Serasa, 59.25 million Brazilians are currently in default. The number has been stable since May and is beginning to show signs of decreasing. The settlement of debts should continue in the coming months and December is expected to reach its peak, due to the 13th salary.
Remembering that outsourced and specialized collection has been the most effective way for entrepreneurs to recover these debts, after all, the greater the distance and the less the emotional bond between the parties, the more effective the balance rehabilitation process will be.
If the idea is to do the collection yourself, the main tip is to find out what caused the late payment. Failure to deliver the service, defective goods, disorganization or problems with the customer's cash flow? If you know the cause of the delay, you'll have several ways of helping him and he'll realize that you're not charging him, but helping him solve the problem. At that point, they will see you as a partner and the delay will be one step closer to being resolved.
